THE PLAN
INTERVIEWS: 180 interviews and 16 videos have been conducted.

TRANSCRIPTION & INDEXING: All interviews have been transcribed and cross-indexed. 1006 photographs and other items of printed material are included in the program and have also been cross-indexed.

ARCHIVING: Original tapes, and indexed transcriptions have been turned over to the Pennypacker Collection of the East Hampton Library for long-term preservation and availability to students, historians and others interested in local history.

CD-ROM: An interactive CD-ROM of the entire project is going into production with the Graphic Arts Department of Suffolk County Community College. The project is expected to take approximately two years and will contain all the
voices, videos, transcriptions, photographs and indexes in The Collection.
